Eternity is the opposite of time. It is perfect. It is the sum of all things, just as white is the sum of all colors. Life may be myriad and beautiful, but it is imperfect, a “stain” on eternity. And everything seeks perfection.
We think we want more time when in fact what we want is eternity. We just forget that eternity is timelessness. The end of time, not time without end.
